Responsibly sourced materials

Timber

All Norwood Windows and Doors are manufactured from engineered FSC certified softwood timber, which is laminated & finger jointed to provide the highest consistency of quality and stability to our finished frames. A non-finger jointed option is also available at extra cost if required.

On request, we can also produce frames in Oak or Accoya, including softwood/hardwood combination frames as a cost-effective option.

AluClad

The AluClad version, available in the full range of RAL colours, creates an external ‘weather shield’ for the timber thus providing a highly durable external finish which is easy to maintain and very modern in appearance. This provides a best of both worlds option for customers wanting the natural appearance and warmth of timber internally, and a sleek, robust, low maintenance finish externally.  The overall front to back dimension of the frame is increased by 11mm when using the AluClad version.

Modern Designs

All our windows and doors are Scandinavian designed to the most modern technical, environment and aesthetic requirements.  Our experienced technical team work with our customer base to ensure that all our products always meet the latest design fashions and technical requirements.

Large Sash Sizes

These modern designs include the capability of installing extra large sash sizes on many of our window and door designs to allow large volumes of natural light to be a feature of the building design.

Safety and Security

All our windows and doors are designed with safety and security in mind and can meet the requirements of Secured by Design and PAS24.  Please ask for details of the hardware specification of products if this is something you are interested in.

Fire Rated Products

We also have a range of fire rated products, please ask for details if this is something you are interested in.

Colour Options

The standard product colour in both timber and Aluclad options is white (RAL 9010 & NCS S 0502Y).  Norwood Windows and Doors are also available in an almost infinite range of recognised RAL or NCS colours.

Glazing Options

All products can be supplied with double or triple glazing, and can achieve a maximum u- value performance of 0.8 W/m²K to meet the most demanding thermal standards including Passive.

Glass options include toughened safety, laminated, acoustic and/or solar control to meet most projects requirements. Acoustic performance to 44db and g-values to 0.23 are achievable.

For health & safety reasons larger frames are supplied unglazed for glazing on site after installation.

Paint and Preservative

Using Teknos water based preservative and paint systems Norwood Windows timber windows can be supplied in any NCS colour, including dual colour. All timber is dipped or sprayed with Teknos timber preservative to provide protection against wood destroying and wood discolouring fungi and satisfies the performance requirements of EN599-1
