Fjerdingstad Trevarefabrikk AS was established in 1949 by the Fjerdingstad family, which still owns and operates the factory located in Hokksund, between Drammen and Kongsberg.

The first factory in Loesdalsveien was built. The production consisted of windows, doors, kitchen cabinets and other wood products. In 1959, the first prototype on the H-window, the famous housewife window, also arrived.
We became the first H-window manufacturer in Eastern Norway.
The subsidiary Norwood was created. Norwood established to supply Polish market buying from Fjerdingstad.
Built first Norwood factory.
Extended factory to 3600m² commissioning first brand new production line for timber windows.
Launched all products with aluclad option.

Built 2nd hi-tech window factory @ 6500m² including CNC and robots for finishing whilst concentrating door production in original factory.

£1m+ investment in state of the art robotic cell to increase production capacity.
